Empower Frisco

In 2024, Empower has been reimagined with tracks tailored to the specific needs of N-able’s partners. IT companies can struggle to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of new technology and increasing threats to their customers. To emphasize this, the team decided on the theme of “Forward Never Stops” for this event. Embracing this theme, I created a brand story filled with energy, motion and vibrancy.

The Process

Initially the team wanted to highlight the golf aspect of the venue, since Empower is taking place at the Omni Frisco PGA Resort in Frisco, Texas. However, as we moved forward in the design process, we were drawn to the elements that were more abstract, such as the bold white lines and circles that could allude to golf, while also representing N-able’s objective of supporting their partners in their business journey. The final visual direction is below.

 
 

Logo Design

This logo focuses on forward momentum and progress as the subtitle suggests. I went through numerous iterations using various shapes and text treatments before deciding on the final lockup.

 

Signage

The indoor signage incorporates imagery that could both represent an allude to golf and markers on our partners’ journey. We continue to include bold fonts and shapes, while being more toned down than the outdoor signage.

 

Apparel

Continuing with the golf theme, we gotta do polo shirts, right? The top concepts are simple options with just a stripe of color and the Empower logo. The bottom options are more bold and expressive, with a subtle golf course pattern (left) or a diamond checkered pattern reminiscent of golf polos (right). Both have just the arrow pattern, alluding to the Polo logo typically embroidered there.

Each slide in this template was designed to have an abstract representation of the subject matter using bold colors and blocky shapes that are highlighted throughout the creative direction of the event.
